Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Figures from The Loyal Subjects

I haven't seen the new Ninja Turtles movie, and to be honest, I most likely won't until it comes to DVD. We don't make it to the theater very often, partly because it's expensive, partly because they feel the need to let other people in there with us.  No matter how early in the morning we go, there's always some idiot trying to impress his date with his knowledge of what we're watching or just someone that has decided that with the price of admission you get a free pass to act like a moron.  Until they amend the law and allow me to punch people in the face, I'll be sticking with Netflix.

I did love the Turtles when I was a kid and I like the fact that it's become something new for this generation.  Lots of toys have been released recently to celebrate the new film and their 30th anniversary, but these from The Loyal Subjects are by far my favorite.  I love the look that designer Joe Allard came up with, making them look completely different from anything other tribute line and giving them each a heavy dose of personality.  You can preorder these blind box figures right now from https://www.theloyalsubjects.com and they are expected to ship out the middle of next month.

SDCC Exclusive Hikari Figures from Toy Tokyo x Funko

Are there more Funko toys on the planet than people yet?  It seems like every five minutes they're making something new.  And it would be cool except for the fact that I want just about all of it.  Space is seriously starting to become a premium in my house and the only rooms that don't have toys in them yet are the bathrooms.  I will most likely not be able to say that by the end of the year.

Toy Tokyo is making the trek to San Diego Comic Con and they're bringing a bunch of stuff with them, like these exclusive Hikari figures.  The Skeletor is my favorite, but Batman and Leonardo are looking pretty snazzy in their bright paint schemes.  Just make some extra room in your suitcase and get all three so you won't be sad about it the whole way home.

Toy Fair 2014: Kidrobot

Where to even begin with all the stuff Kidrobot has coming out this year?  Let's start with my favorite things that I saw, and that's plenty of Labbits.  Frank Kozik's iconic character is gonna multiply like crazy in a few different sizes.  There are the new 7 inch Deadpool and Ghost Rider figures that you can expect to see in March to coincide with series 2 of their Marvel blind box toys.  There will also be a series of blister packed figures that are variants from the first series, such as Wolverine as Weapon X.

But this was by far the best news I heard at the entire show.  Kidrobot secured the licensing for DC Comics products and they are going nuts with them.  I'm a huge Batman fan so I almost had to change my pants when I saw the packaging for the new Joker 7 inch Labbit.  And they're making blister packed ones and a blind boxed series.  I could actually feel my wallet getting thinner the longer I looked at all this stuff.  None of the actual products themselves were on display, so I'm guessing it will be later in the year before we're able to purchase these.

And I'm sure by now you've seen the new line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles figures they've produced.  Most of these were on hand and actually getting to play with them really made me want them all.  It was a total nostalgia trip with each one I picked up and I have a feeling this collection is gonna blow a lot of minds.  Again, they will have blind boxed and blister carded figures, as well as some larger ones featuring Bebop and Rocksteady.  Look for these to drop in May.

Each license also has an assortment of keychains and diy figures and TMNT will also have some shirts available.  I was literally geeking out so hard over the DC Labbits that I feel that rush of euphoria coming over me as I type this.  I may need to go lay down.

I took a lot more pictures of their booth and they can be found at www.facebook.com/TheToyViking
