Even More myplasticheart for NYCC News

myplasticheart is not playing around. In fact, they are coming guns blazin' to New York Comic Con and here are a few more weapons they've added to an already impressive arsenal. That giant orange dude is named Milton and he was designed by Oliver Hibert and produced by adFunture. There are only 200 of him and he will be $65. In a weird way I kinda like this figure, not because it's my personal taste per se, but because he looks exactly like that guy Bruce Vilanch who used to always be on Hollywood Squares and whose facial proportions I could never quite wrap my head around.
If you couldn't care less about obsolete game shows, then how about the new DIY Teddy Troops? They come blind boxed in an array of colors and are only $7 each. That is the best deal you're gonna find all day. Unless you give a dollar to the guy dressed as Boba Fett who plays the Star Wars theme on an accordion that is always outside of the con. I couldn't even make that up.

Steff Bomb x Erik Scarecrow for NYCC

Oooooh that looks soft! Plush maven Steff Bomb has teamed up with Erik Scarecrow to release this fuzzy game system called "I Think You're Soopa." It's based on a toy Erik did some time ago, and it's translation to a stuffed toy is pretty cool. There are only 15 of these in existence and they cost $45 at the Erik Scarecrow booth # 781 at, where else, New York Comic Con. You can meet Steff on Saturday at 3pm if you happen to be hanging around and not trying to score the phone number of some hot cosplay girl.

Johnny Cupcakes NYCC Exclusive Toy

T-Shirt brand Johnny Cupcakes are getting into the toy business in a "big" way with this figure they're bringing to New York Comic Con. There's only 225 available and it glows in the dark. It looks kinda like if Bob's Big Boy just lost what little self control he had and went on a bender. I don't think I have the shelving structure to support this bro.

Paul Kaiju x Lulubell Toys at NYCC

Paul Kaiju will not be making the trip to New York Comic Con this year, but his weird toys will be there representing for him. Above, you can see his Seagool figure, which is truly horrifying to me because I live near the boardwalk and seagulls are constantly attacking you for your food, your wallet, and your babies. Seriously, I saw these new parents feeding a seagull in front of their child who was enjoying the show from the comforts of his stroller. The next thing I know the food runs out and the bird jumps onto the kid and starts pecking at him like he's a giant funnel cake. Ok, that was kinda funny, but they poop on you too and no one wants to be forced into buying a "Jersey Shore" shirt because theirs is covered in bird excrement.
Thankfully, Paul Kaiju has also created figures based on elephants, which I'm sure no one finds to be annoying in real life. The Boss Carrion "Scanner" editions bring a level of creepiness all their own, but I really like them. Both releases will be featured at the Lulubell Toys booth, though I have no idea when these will be available or how much they will be. No matter what I'm not getting near one of those seagull characters. I don't trust 'em.

Free Zombie Minimate at NYCC

The word "free" might be my favorite in the English language. Well, my favorite one that won't prevent me from getting a nice job someday if a potential employer were to read this. Diamond Select Toys loves that word too and they are showing you just how much by giving away a free Zombie Civilian Minimate at New York Comic Con. A limited number will be given out Friday, Saturday, and Sunday starting at 10am and they probably will not last very long, so if you're going make this your first stop for the day. Unless you really have to pee, them by all means make it your second stop.

Even More New Super 7 Toys!!!!!!

Is tomorrow Friday? If you said "yes" then that means it's time for more releases from the uber busy folks at Super 7. The little merman on the left is known as the Fantastic Phosphorescence Drunk Seijin and true to his name, he glows in the dark. To see it for yourself you will need to give these hard working people $35 and they'll be happy to send you one. My all time favorite Super 7 character Mummy Boy will also be available in pocket version tomorrow and sporting a sweet Skulletor paint scheme. He will brighten your day and steal your Hot Pockets for $25. Check out www.super7store.com tomorrow at noon to expand your collection.
