New Toys From Monster Pants

When I got an email about this I had no idea who Monster Pants were. I thought maybe they were like Zubaz who made the really gaudy animal striped lounge wear that was in the colors of your favorite team. Thank God I was wrong. Monster Pants are in fact the company behind the films Automatons and Satan Hates You and not they are branching out into toys and t-shirts. The toys are hand made and cast in resin and have a really weird 1970's feel to them which I dig.
The first figure is the Robot Companion which stand 3 and 3/4 inches and is limited to only 66 pieces. For him to be your friend it will run you $24. Up next they have a version of their logo with his zipped up mouth. These guys look like they could be props in a low budget horror film and that's why I love them. The red and green editions are both limited to 22 pieces and will cost $66. Click here and pre order your now before they're gone and you cry yourself to sleep.

Two New Batman Statues for 2012

I spotted these at New York Comic Con almost two weeks ago and now I have some more info on how you can get these very different interpretations of everyone's favorite poster boy for a screwed up childhood. MAD Magazine cartoonist Sergio Aragones lends his signature style to the one pictured above, giving him a goofy and not terribly frightening look. He is 6 and 1/2 inches tall and is made entirely of porcelain. On January 25th you can add him to your Bat Cave for $90.

This statue comes courtesy of Mike Mignola who is best known for creating Hellboy. A different version of it was released in 2006 and quickly sold out, so the nice folks at DC decided to change it up a bit and make it available to the fans. He stands 7 and 1/2 inches tall and is also made or porcelain (which just makes it sound that much classier to me) and will set you back $95. You can pick him up on February 15th.

Day of The Dead Android from The Beast Brothers

The Beast Brothers are the latest artists to add their touch to the Android phone mascot. His name is Don Pablo and you can add him to your collection on November 1st at 11am and at 11pm by going to the DYZ Plastic website. These will not last long so make sure you're not puking up all the Halloween candy you stole from the neighborhood kids when this sale goes down.

Rampage Toys Ugly Unicorn for Halloween

When you make a toy named "Ugly Unicorn" it's pretty much mandatory that you do at least a small run of them to celebrate Halloween. Rampage Toys agrees with that logic and will be releasing the figures above sometime on Halloween. I really like the way the stenciling came out on these guys and it gives them a totally different look than previous releases. Check out their website throughout the week if you want one cause there's only 5 available and the exact time of their offering next Monday is still up in the air.

Kaws Defaces Snoopy

Kaws has the greatest job in the universe. He sees an iconic character, X's out his eyes as if he's dead and BAM! instant expensive art toy. Having added his touch to Disney and Star Wars he has now invaded the world of the Peanuts with this Snoopy figure. I don't know how much it will cost, but judging by his past work I'm sure it will be more than my electric bill. If you needed another reason not to buy what is honestly a boring toy, just remember that Kanye West will probably get one, and he's dumb. Taylor Swift or die!!

Vote on the Next Star Wars Figure

Hasbro wants you to vote on which Star Wars character to include in their 2013 edition of figures. There are quite a few choices and unless you are the most uber of uber nerds, you probably won't recognize a lot of the names here since they are mostly from the expanded universe. But if you have a particular favorite, or you just really like to exercise your democratic freedom, then click here and cast your vote. The winner will be announced at Toy Fair in February.
