I Wish These Were Real Star Wars Figures

    Oh snap.  Check out these crispy critters.  Everyone's favorite surrogate parents are now immortalized in the way we all remember them from Star Wars Episode 4.  This picture comes from the hilarious Facebook page of one Mr. George Takei.  My wife had been following him for the longest time before persuading me to and thus changing my life for the better.  Unfortunately, these limited BBQ editions are not real, but that doesn't make me not want them.  Finally, my moisture farm diorama could be complete!  So close, yet so far away.

Walking Dead Minimates Coming Soon

     The Walking Dead just started the second half of it's second season last night and check out what I have to show you to celebrate.  Diamond Select Toys will be making Walking Dead Minimates!!  Check out the first mock ups of Sheriff Rick Grimes and his little undead buddy!  These will be available in the fall, so now you have something to look forward to this year.  Unless you already had stuff to look forward to, in which case you are now overloaded with anticipation and should probably go and take a nap.  

64 Colors x Kidrobot 8 Inch Dunny

    It's a rare event when I use the word "beautiful" to describe a toy.  Sure I've used words like "awesome", or "disturbing" to accentuate how I feel about a certain object, so I hope you enjoy this rare occasion.
   This Supermagical Dunny was created by the brilliant minds of 64 Colors and Kidrobot.  You may know them for their smaller Dunnys that appeared in last year's blind box series or from the plethora of other projects they involve themselves with.  This is by far the coolest thing I've ever seen from them.  I love how the design of the tree extends into a sculpted ear, and honestly, I love everything about it.  If you are as smitten with this hunk of plastic as I am, you better get yourself geared up because it releases February 23rd for $75.  There are 1,200 of them out there, so it will probably take awhile for them to sell out.  I'm not one to wait though and will have to own it the moment it's released.
   

Custom Toy of the Week: Sergio Mancini

        Sergio Mancini does an amazing job on this Kidrobot Trikky DIY toy.  Styled after the figure that won him the Munnyworld contest last year, this toy shift effortlessly from the cat design to his now signature blue print features.  This is by far my favorite piece I've seen from him and would love to own this in my collection.  Check out more from Sergio and some of his friends at http://redmutuca.com/.

Black Widow Premium Format Figure from Sideshow Collectibles

    Ok, let's get to the real reason that everyone is excited to see The Avengers this summer.  Scarlet Johansson + leather suit = box office success.  Sure there are some of us who are super hero fans and have been waiting for years for this film, but that's just what we tell our wives.  And being that this is as close as we'll ever get to having the lovely Ms. Johansson in any of our lives, I thought it was worth posting.

Spongebob x UniPo Samples

    UNKL have released shots of the factory samples for their Spongebob UniPo series.  There are still tweaks to be made, but this is a good sign that these figures will be available in the near future.  I enjoy when something as popular as this show is willing to take a risk by being interpreted into an art toy.  Not much more to say about these except that we'll let you know what's up when we know.
