Birthday Cavey from A Little Stranger

I like manly things.  I like vikings, and hockey, and red meat.  I like heavy metal, and Clint Eastwood movies, and bare knuckled boxing.  But sometimes I just wanna cuddle.  Sometimes I just wanna feel all squishy inside and eat cookies and watch Project Runway marathons.  It's the duality of life my friends.  That softer side of me is the one that likes Cavey, and you can get this brand new edition of him tomorrow.  Made by the talented hands of A Little Stranger, this little guy is celebrating his 2nd birthday with this 75 piece purple and white edition.  You also get a purple glitter badge that would look nice on my motorcycle jacket next to the flaming skull wrapped in barbed wire.  Get yours tomorrow at 8pm London time by going to http://heycavey.bigcartel.com/.

Doktor A Chester Runcorn Mourning Edition

My favorite type of post to do is the kind where I really don't have to tell you anything because all you need to know is contained in the picture.  So let's talk about other things.  I'm terribly bummed about how the Philadelphia Flyers are playing as of late.  I really want us to win the Stanley Cup before I die, but it seems like they're gonna make me celebrate when I'm hanging by a thread in a nursing home.  Let's get it together and play hockey!!!!!!!!  Other than that the my four-legged children are good.  The website is doing well and I'm working on some new ideas that hopefully will come to fruition by the end of the year.  There's something pretty big that's gonna happen in August that I'll tell you more about as it gets closer.  My car was in the shop this past week but now everything is ok, which is good, because I was blissfully unaware of how important brakes were in the operation of a vehicle until there weren't any.  How are you guys doing?

Since you made it to the end, you should buy this new toy from Doktor A to reward yourself.  It is pretty spiffy after all.

Custom Toy of the Week: Bjornik

These are breathtaking. They are the custom work of Bjornik, who has taken the tale of Little Red Riding Hood and turned it into a great set of toys. His work is stunning whether on paper or rendered in three dimensions on plastic. For this set he collaborated with his sister, who made the clothing that each figure is wearing. These are unfortunately all in the hands of private collectors now, but you can purchase other works by going to http://www.bjornik.bigcartel.com/. There is no doubt in my mind that his work will one day be featured on a production toy. Any company would be lucky to release such stunning work.

New Tara McPherson Dunny on the Way?

Tara McPherson is by far one of my favorite artists. There's just something about her work that I love and I get really really excited whenever I see she has a new toy coming out. So you can imagine how I felt when I was just minding my own business, checking out my Instagram, and this picture popped up. Kidrobot shared this with the world yesterday and the speculation has been nuts. Is it one figure with a dual colored face? Are there two figures? What size are they gonna be? How can I con someone into getting them for me? The big rumor is that these are 2 different designs that will be featured as 20 inch Dunnys. Which is cool, but the average price of such a large figure is $400, so I fear I'm gonna have to live without them. But nothing is confirmed yet, so I'll just have to hope these come in a more compact/ affordable size.

Peter Kato's Avengers Inspired Resin Figures

Ooooooooooh you better go right now and get one of these. I love this Hulk inspired Turtle Tetsujin from Peter Kato and he captured the character brilliantly on his signature toy. Only 8 of them exist in the world and they're $20 each. And as you can see to his left, he also has a little buddy that is on sale right now as well. He's a gamma soldier and you can have him for only $5. Again, there are only 8 of the available, so go right now to http://peterkatoshop.com/ and get some of these awesome handmade toys.

Noferin Presents the Jibibuts Artists Series

I love these toys. I love them cause not only are they cute (I have feelings sometimes) but they are made entirely of wood!! These guys are called Jibibuts and they have been sprung from the mind of Noferin. What really makes me unique is that a ton of artists have added their touches to really give these guys a dose of personality. Buff Monster, 64 Colors, and Squink are but a few of the people you'll find in this series. And if for some reason you were to lose your mind one day and bury them in your flower bed (next to Aunt Jenny) then fear not, because they will biodegrade. I just thought that was a fun fact for you guys. Not sure when these come out, but I'll tell you when I do.

Mattel Exclusives for San Diego Comic Con

Unfortunately, I am not among the lucky folks that will be attending this year's San Diego Comic Con. While I would love to go, I was forced today to spend a whole lot of money to ensure my car would have the ability to come to a complete stop. It would make it slightly harder to collect toys with my face wrapped around a tree, so I caved and had the work done. But my loss is your gain, because now you'll have one less person to compete with for all of the exclusive stuff. Mattel has been nice enough to show us some of what they will have available in California this year, and there seems to be a little something for every taste.

My favorite reveal is this staue of Neil Gaiman's Death. She's gonna be $25 bucks and comes perched atop a pretty cool skull base.

If you like your toys a bit cuter, then these Tiny Titans are for you. For $20 you get all 5 of these little dudes and their display stand.

"There is no Dana, only Zuul". My wife is tired of this quote, as I routinely find other words to substitute for "Dana". There are no doughnuts, there is no "stop being annoying", there is no "can we watch Murder She Wrote". Old Zuul will run ya $25.

OMG we're back to the cute segment of this post. These are Polly Pocket figures dressed as villians from Gotham City. This 3 pack will be $19.99.

And finally we have Vykron, from Masters of the Universe. I don't know too much about this guy's story, but he's $30 and looks pissed.
